Leos are born July 23-August 22. It’s a fixed fire sign ruled by the sun, which is why they have the reputation of being dramatic, passionate, creative, loyal, persistent, and they’re known to love being the center of attention.

The constellation of Leo gets its origin from the myth of Heracles. As the first mission in his famous twelve labors, he was tasked with killing the lion of Nemea. After slaying the beast, the goddess Hera placed the lion in the stars as the constellation Leo to honor its bravery.
