FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What size are your prints?

All the prints in the shop are currently sold as 8.5”x11” which is a standard size for framing. If you would like to order a custom size, email acupofcloudy@gmail.com and let me know and we can work something out 🙂

What are your prints made of?

They’re printed on 110 weight cardstock paper. It’s thicker than regular paper and will hold up against UV rays and is acid free. Prints are matte unless specified otherwise.

How are prints shipped to me?

They’ll come in a white cardboard flat mailer and will be encased in a plastic sleeve to protect against any rainy days your mailperson might encounter. I also slip a business card into your waterproof sleeve in case you want to tell your friends about me (wink wink). I use the United States Postal Service to mail everything and I choose standard shipping times.

I got an email that says order completed, but my package isn’t here yet. What does that mean?

It means I’ve shipped your package — it’s complete on my end. You’ll receive your package in a few days. If you ordered a virtual product like an ebook, it should arrive in a separate email.

Is there a price drop when I buy in bulk, or buy a lot of things at once?

No, I don’t reduce my prices for bulk orders. If you sign up to my email list here, you’ll get the news when I hold any special offers.

I messaged you, but didn’t get a response. What gives?

If you message me on Facebook, Instagram, or some other social media platform, I might not see it (especially if we’re not friends or I don’t follow you — it gets put into that other folder that you have to search for). So please email all of your questions or comments to acupofcloudy@gmail.com. It’s the best way to reach me. I promise to respond there!

I didn’t get my order and it’s been two weeks already. What do I do?

Let me know! If your package never makes it to you, I’ll send you another one free of charge as long as the items are still in stock. If they’re sold out already, I can’t guarantee that another can be made (especially for non-print items like mugs, tapestries, or special pieces). However, I’ll do the best I can to make it up to you. Email me at acupofcloudy@gmail.com and we can work something out.

Can I get a refund?

Sure 🙂 If you never got your order or if the product arrived damaged, I can send you another one free of charge as long as the items are still in stock. If they’re sold out already, I can’t guarantee that another can be made (especially for items like mugs, tapestries, or special items). If you got your item but it isn’t what you thought it was supposed to be or aren’t satisfied for some other reason, let me know. A Cup of Cloudy must be notified within 60 days of your purchase for a refund or resend! Email acupofcloudy@gmail.com that you were unhappy and I can refund your order.

What do you use to make your illustrations?

I sketch and paint on watercolor paper using traditional watercolors. Then, I take a photo of that work and upload it onto my laptop, where I paint over the image in Photoshop. The final result is a digital file. I use this file to design products like prints, tapestries, stickers, calendars and more. Each product has its own production process.

Do you do commissions?

No, I’m not currently accepting commission requests. Custom portraits, custom tapestries, and custom murals are all unavailable at this time. Contact me to see what my availability is like at acupofcloudy@gmail.com

How are tapestries shipped to me?

Your woven tapestry will be folded, placed in a clear plastic bag, wrapped in brown packing paper, and placed in another clear plastic covering. It will be a soft package unless you ordered something with it that requires a box or mailer. All packages are shipped with USPS using standard shipping times.

How do I care for my woven tapestry?

If it arrives with creases or wrinkles from being packed + shipped, you can iron these out or steam iron them.
Be aware that steam ironing may cause the tapestry to shrink/tighten a bit so make sure to iron the whole tapestry evenly, not just the creased spots.
Spot clean with a damp cloth for any messes or vacuum for dust. Do not put it in the washer.
Do not put your tapestry in the dryer. Hang to dry.

A Cup of Cloudy is not responsible for any damage done to your tapestry during improper cleaning.

I saw a tapestry at a festival that I don’t see on your website. Do you still have it?

Maybe! Some tapestries are limited in quantity and may have sold out. Sometimes tapestries exist as unfinished fabric and simply haven’t been sewn into anything yet. It’s possibly in stock but hasn’t been listed online yet. Feel free to email acupofcloudy@gmail.com and ask about any tapestry, pillow or tote bag.
